NOIX

Bunica mea mi-a lăsat, moştenire, patru nuci.

My grandmother left me four nuts as my inheritance.

Before going blind, she used to turn two nuts in each hand to slow down the deterioration of her eyesight, following the same principle of Bao Ding (Chinese balls).

These nuts have indents for having been manipulated every day for years, they have smoothed out throughout the years, bearing now only the suggestion of their ribs.

So, I designed a series of horizontal triptychs, whose size corresponds to an arm span (65 cm x 3), for both visual and tactile reading. On the same surface (what I call fields), I laid in the dialogue through raised letters and stripped zones as a palimpsest.
